FAQs

Who can be a client?

If you want to have plants in your space, but just can’t take care of them, you are a potential client! Restaurants, dentist offices, hotel lobbies, school lobbies, boutiques, offices, and hair salons are all perfect clients for a weekly watering service.

Can we buy the plants and pots from you?

Yes! I work directly with you, in your space. I offer Plantscape design, and can help you select the plants that will live the best in your space. This all depends on lighting, ventilation, and space.

How much does your service cost?

I charge $85 per hour to care for your plants. This includes watering, fertilizing, pesticides, pruning, cleaning leaves, rotating plants, and monitoring for bugs and infestations.

What else is taken into consideration?

Things to consider when determining how to care for your plants include: how far is the water source from where your plants are living? Is there a closet on site to store watering and cleaning tools? Will I need a key to access the space? Do you have a preferred time to wanter the plants morning or evening)?

How often do you water?

Depending on the plants you have in your space, watering will be required weekly or every other week. 52 times a year, or 26 times a year.

Do you only water the plants?

I will water your plants as needed as well as the following: dust and clean the leaves, prune dead leaves and stalks, remove plant waste, monitor plants and soil for bugs and infestations, fertilize throughout the year, treat for insects with pesticides, keep planters clean, and rotate plants toward their light source regularly.

What happens if you find bugs in our plants?

I will regularly update you on how your plants are doing with photos and emails. If there is an insect infestation or the plant is suffering / near to death, I will notify you right away. In some cases we will need to remove a plant, so it does not affect others in your collection. We may also need to replace a plant if it dies.

Will you repot my plants for free?

Unfortunately, no. There will be an added charge for replanting pots as they grow. This will include new pots, new soil, the labor, and the time it takes to complete the job.

How do we pay for your service?

We prefer ACH transfer, but we will also accept credit card or business checks. You will be billed once or twice a month, whichever works better for your cashflow.

What does your service not include?

Part of interior landscaping is understanding that, sometimes plants do not survive. Should it be time to replace a plant, or add new plants, this cost will be discussed with the client, and a bid will be provided to add or replace plants. Should a pot break, I also cannot cover the cost of replacing the pot.

Is there a minimum?

Yes. My minimum is 1 hour for service per weekly visit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes I am!

Will there be a contract?

Yes, we will sign a contract that summarizes the agreed upon services to be performed at your location.
